From November 6th to 9th, the 2020 4th International Conference on High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC 2020) was successfully held in Xi'an. Fu Junyin, general manager of Bronze Technologies, and Chen Hengxing, deputy general manager, were invited to the event. At the meeting, Bronze Technologies demonstrated the latest high-voltage and high-power gate driver products, and introduced the magnetic ring energy-capture press-packed IGBT driver technology, drumming up passionate interest among attendees.

high-voltage, high-power gate drivers exhibited at the conference feature high
integration, intelligence and reliability. Based on Bronze Technologies
proprietary ASIC chips, the drivers feature compact design, low power
consumption, convenient debugging, multiple applications, and cost
effectiveness, and can be securely and reliably drive IGBT and SiC power
devices. The inductive-magnetic-coupling-powered press-pack IGBT gate driver
can be used in high voltage power transmission and marine power applications.
By controlling the current flowing through the silicone cable, the primary side
current source supplies power to the secondary side driver unit. Compared to
traditional solutions of using multi-level isolation or bulky isolation
transformers for insulation purpose, the inductive-magnetic-coupling-powered
press-pack IGBT gate driver solution can simplify the system and reduce the
design cost.
