The applications can be classified into high-speed railways and urban railways. High-speed railways use 25kV AC as the main input, featuring high power and voltage. Urban railways use 1500V DC as the main input, and generally have a lower power and voltage. The electrical devices in railway vehicles can be divided into main converters and the auxiliary converters by function. In addition, urban railways usually have corresponding energy feeding equipment on the ground.
