In grid, there are a large number of inductive loads, such as asynchronous motors and diode rectifiers. In addition, transformers in grid are also inductive, which generate a large amount of reactive power, resulting in increased power losses and voltage drop in grid. To eliminate such losses, SVGs are required on the power transmission network. Bronze Technologies utilizes the SVG driver technology to provide gate drive solutions for different SVG applications.
On the load side, to eliminate the impact of reactive power on the capacity of a terminal transformer, a large equipments with high reactive power consumption is equipped with a low-voltage SVG in the nearby. It uses 1200V or 1700V high-current IGBT modules in a three-phase full-bridge cabinet or 650V low-current IGBT modules to build I-type 3-level modular power supply. The modules are connected in parallel to implement the function. Bronze Technologies provides different solutions to meet with different customer requirements.
